We have all heard it, the claims that the latest release of a previously historic product is being introduced not only as good as, but better than the original. The DT-200VX is no different. Sangean experienced great success and popularity for over a decade with the DT-200V. It was chosen for its selectivity, its responsiveness, and the ability to pick up stations in areas where no other could. So how are the DT-200V and the DT-200VX the same? You still get the stylish black case, great reception, handy belt clip, a set of ear buds, and an external antenna. The legendary Sangean name remains on the unit along with the built-in-speaker, and a large LCD display, but that is about where it stops. With the DT-200VX we were looking to add a function or two to improve the radio without affecting reception quality so we added a clock, backlight, and deep bass boost. We made the case smaller and the LCD larger. We integrated the speaker and headphone selector switch with the mono/stereo switch. We restructured the 19 memories to be used on any band and in any order, in addition to a memory seeking function.We worked tirelessly to ensure that the Sangean legacy of superior reception and sensitivity were not lost because of additional features and that the DT-200VX is a radio we can be proud to say replaces the DT-200V.Features:PLL Synthesized tuning system.
